UIL Boys Basketball All-Century Team

The University Interscholastic League, as part of its Centennial Celebration, has announced the UIL All-Century Boys Basketball Teams as selected by the fans. Fans cast more than 5,500 votes for their favorite boys basketball players in Texas high school history.

For the past 100 years, UIL athletes have given fans some of the most memorable and exciting moments in sports. The UIL would like to recognize these outstanding performers as it celebrates a century of excellence.

The UIL All-Century Boys Basketball Teams as selected by the fans include:

First Team:

  • TJ Ford, Sugar Land Willowridge - Guard
  • Jimmy Smith, Victoria - Guard
  • Clyde Drexler, Houston Sterling - Forward
  • Chris Bosh, Dallas Lincoln - Forward
  • Shaquille O'Neal, San Antonio Cole - Center

Second Team:

  • Spud Webb, Dallas Wilmer Hutchins - Guard
  • Mookie Blaylock, Garland - Guard
  • LaMarcus Aldridge, Seagoville - Forward
  • Larry Johnson, Dallas Skyline - Forward
  • Emeka Okafor, Houston Bellaire - Center

Third Team:

  • Phil Reynolds, Waxahachie - Guard
  • AJ Abrams, Austin McNeil - Guard
  • Rashard Lewis, Alief Elsik - Forward
  • John Beasley, Linden-Kildare - Forward
  • Greg Ostertag, Duncanville - Center
